MEET ROB
Meet Rob Desmond: not your run-of-the-mill photographer, Rob is an award-winner and published pro who's down-to-earth wit and no-nonsense sarcasm can put anyone at ease.
Rob's journey into photography started in childhood when his grandmother gave him an old Kodak Brownie camera. Through life's twists and turns, including successful careers in both firefighting and landscaping, Rob's passion for photography endured.
Rob has studied with top-notch photographers from across the country. He has spent time photographing the busy streets of New York, the volcanoes of Hawaii, the wilds of Alaska, the beaches of Dubai, and the waterfalls of Iceland, not to mention every nook of new England. Why? He’s always looking for an adventure, always eager to learn from the best, and strives to create the must stunning photography possible.
Rob brings a unique blend of professionalism, sarcasm, candor and creative vison to everything he does.
Behind the Camera
Photography has always been the creative side of who I am. After more than 15 years as a firefighter and nearly three decades building my own businesses, I’ve learned to stay calm, adapt quickly, and pay attention to the details that matter.
I’m drawn to photographs with personality. Sometimes that means dramatic lighting, smoke, color, and creative effects. Other times it means knowing when to step back and capture something real.
Today I photograph seniors, athletes, portraits, and select weddings throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Sports photography is also created through Fuel Media House alongside Kat Rokita of Farmhouse Photography.
